Today I was petting my cat and the little bitch swung around and ripped the side of my index finger, cutting me pretty deep. I wanted to swat her so bad.  I am still a little pissed off at her, and thats just because I know she isnt like that and she is a smart animal. Now if it were the dog doing something stupid, id be pissed but get over it, cause the dogs dumber than shit. I used to have a malicious cat. I was the only one he was sometimes civil with. Hed sit on my lap and id pet him and if he bit me while he sat there id swat him on the head. Then Id keep petting him and go on. If he did it again Id throw him off my lap. I think cats are too smart to learn anything like dogs do, so is punishment acceptable for animals in anyone else eyes? |

Boy or girl cat?
Just wondering. We've had 4 cats over the years and they've all been male, and pretty docile.
We've found that a squirt bottle works great when they're doing something that pisses you off, like scratching the carpet or wiping their ass on the bedsheets.

The other cat she mentioned is a male. Ed, also known as satan in cat form. He is evil and kills everything he comes in contact with. Last summer, we found a human remains buried in the back yard. It had cat claw marks all over. |

Yay for tactness.
I love my kitty and would never hurt her, but she's also really shy.
I would say no to smacking your cat, as previously mentioned, a spray bottle works wonders. Cats only attack if they feel threatened, so you could try sucking up to your cat (give her treats etc)

They can also intentionally defecate on your possessions. |

Sometime back, our two cats became flea ridden. The whole friggen house was infested. This was before those pills came around and only the traditional methods were available.
These things were everywhere.
We flea-bombed the house and that didn't work. Flea collars, right. What wound up working was the spray, had to hit them where they were congregating, and it finally did the trick.
Anyway, during this fracas we were giving the cats a regular flea bath. It must have sucked for the cats, we had a black one that would howl when I was dipping it in this flea stuff. After the dip, I dried him off and put him down on the carpet where he walked slowly over to the middle of the room and took a shit, then ran off to hide somewhere.
Guess he told me what to do with my fleabath.

Unfortunately for me, our dog is a fucking idiot. Ours is retarded. She isn't very smart at all. In fact, we recently had another dog visiting for a few days, so we had something else to compare her to. She's even dumber than we thought. |
