Well, it looks like the party is big enough we'll have every kind of character we need... so I guess I can just make what I want rather than what the party really, really needs. ;D

Can I have a familiar? a cute one? ^_^ Not if you're a druid, but you can have an animal companion, which can defintly be cute. P.S. what happened to your avatar?

MY friend played a druid in the arctic. Nothing better than having a polar bear! And I suppose they can be classified as "cute"

Animal Companion. They kick way more ass than Familiars. As in, they're actually worth it.

Some of the familiars in 3E were worth it. They changed them in 3.5.

Familiars suck some big ass for sure. The 3E toad gave +2 Con. The 3E viper gave +3 to bluff, which was very nice for my feinting rogue/illusionist. Plus, a familiar gives great role playing opportunities.

Yeah but one combat going slightly wrong and BAM nice 2 con loss. Not a loss of your own con, just the loss of a bonus.
