I know this is pretty quick, but...
Anyhow, just before I was contacted about this place, I had started an adventure which had given me a campaign idea, but I had no idea where to play out this campaign idea. So here I am. At some point (might take a while) I'll be finished to an extent where I can start a game here. I hope to be ready to start soon however.

Actually, I also have another campaign I had started up around.
So it would depend if people wanted a campaign starting around level 1 or around level 9...

No one who has played the game for long likes level 1. It just is not fun. You know you can die with one bad roll and it is just annoying. I and everyone else that I play D&D with personally would much rather begin at 9.
That said the newer people would be confused and lost if they were not starting at level 1.
I guess it depends on your target playing audience.

I'd play if you started at level 1. I'd also play if you started at level 9. However, depending on which you do, I'd make a completely different character. There is a character I want to develop from level one. I have another character idea I could go from level nine with, though.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I guess if all the people who express interest are experienced I'll use the level 9 one (which also happens to be the most developed and interesting so far), whereas if some new people want to play I'll make it level 1. Also, I might use some rules, including many of those located in the Pathfinder RPG system from Paizo (which is basically just a balance patch for 3.5).

See I can develop a character regardless of level. I just HATE HATE HATE playing a level 1 character 1 encounter from level 2 and a lucky roll kills the whole party.
Hence, my hatred for level 1 deepens.

ALSO, after level 1 the game begins to depend more on the decisions you make both tactical and roleplaying wise whereas level 1 is just luck and praying you don't die instantly.

Yes, I don't like it either. If I do, I'm playing with double max HP plus whatever at level one, or max HP plus Con SCORE...

Id play either. but I think it would be nice to play at a level one if other new people would like to try their hand at it as well, but I know running two campaigns could be a little overwhelming. Up to you.

Despite having some prior knowledge of the campaign could go, I'll toss my hat into the ring.
